Here, try this site:

Alas, a lot of them are pure fantasy...
lotus79
Thanks, but no thanks.
I know the site and the logo's. I think that they created their own logo's, because alot of them just can't be right. And even the ones that are correct, are very ugly. Poor quality.

Maybe somebody has to start:

and two for Scarab

bschenker
The Bellasi Logo was used in all Cars built by Guglielmo Bellasi, but was never used on the formula 1 car

With the Klenk I am afraid you won´t have much luck: Only a one-off special, so no need to introduce a logo and also nothing visible on the car on the pictures.

ATS again - seen at Coy's 2000:

To bschenker,
Thanks for the info. Nice site you have of Silvio Moser. Do you know that he died on the day that I was born? may 26th 1974.

And other ones:

and last one, Merzario

The Token Racing logo was based around the letters TR - I can't remember it exactly, but I'll see if I can dig it out from somewhere.

Actually, the logo should be burned indelibly into my brain. In 1974 I was an occaisional gofer for Token. For the 1974 British GP, the car had been resprayed white in "Team Harper" colours. After the first day of practice, full-time gofer Ian Flux and myself drove back to Egham and dropped the bodywork off at Doug Eyre's for signwriting. We picked it up early the next morning, and set off back to Brands with Fluxie demonstrating his FVee skills at the wheel of the team's LHD VW Kombi. It was a hair-raising drive through the back roads of Kent, with me acting as spotter.

We got back to the circuit in record time and refitted the bodywork. Neil Trundle asked me to give the cockpit surround a bit of a polish. My final flourish with the polishing cloth was across the newly-painted Token Racing logo........which was reduced to little more than a blue smear! A few more seconds of frantic polishing removed even that, and the body looked ok again.

There - thirty years on I've admitted it.

I feel cleansed.

Signed

Embarrassed of Addlestone!

Now you've given us all that feeling of disbelief and terror - just reading that last paragraph !

Here another one from Kurtis-Kraft which was on my Super Seven when I bought it:

Which brings a question up for me. As I am not particularly fond of stickers I wanted to remove it. But now that I - thanks to TNF - learned that it is kind of Formula 1 history I am not so sure. Never heard of Kurtis-Kraft having been in F1 until today.

What would you fellow TNF'ers recommend: leave it as part of racing history or remove it? I should mention that the car has nothing to do with Kurtis-Kraft apart from the sticker. Or to put the question in another way: would you leave the sticker on YOUR car or would you remove it?

Tough call. If the car had anything to do with Kurtis-Kraft at all, I'd leave it. As it does not, other than some earlier owner chose to put this on, well part of me says it is part of the patina of the car and part of me says if your choice is to make this your car and this gets in the way of that then take it off.

So really I'm no help at all to you lol.gif

Here's 2 for now - I'll try to photograph the Shannon logo tomorrow.

Scirocco nose logo - hand painted.
They don't seem to have made any nose badges, the coloured round logo was just used on paperwork.

Thanks for all the logos and the info.

Do you need the Maki logo, or the Life? I couldn't see either of them on your list, but I could scan both if you like.

Megatron
If you have seen one of those "Keep out" signs, that is Kauhsen
lotus79
Thanks you all,
but I have the Maki and Life logo already.
I also have one of Kauhsen (already placed in this thread)

By the way,
What do you think is the best looking F1 logo of all time?????????
I like the Lotus logo best. (a great design)
But I also like the Brabham Flying Dragon logo

I wonder - does anyone know where I can get hold of a Brabham cloth patch, in the style of the early-70s Ecclestone era? IIRC it had a yellow background with white and black graphics, and was the same as the nose stickers of the period...

Does anyone have, or know where I can find, the very first Arrows logo, before they had Warsteiner sponsorship?

I am searching for the Williams Iso Marlboro logo. I think this was only on the nosecone of the 1973 Iso Marlboro car, not the 1974 one. Maybe it was the same logo as was on the Iso sports cars?

I have a Glassfibre Hesketh Bear as made by Bob Curl......

Joris, are you referring to the crest - the gold & red one - which was seen above 'ISO' lettering on their noses? If so, that's the Philip Morris (Marlboro) emblem...

jorism
I actually bought this Iso Marlboro cockpit and nose cone in the Bonhams auction at Goodwood. The logo you are referring to Stuart, is the one with the square. I actually was looking for more info on what seems to be a small logo plate on the nose cone where I put a circle in the picture here, it misses.

If anyone knows from which exact 1973 race was this nose please let me know. I think it was from one of the last races, but I didn't find this exact one with this Fina sign.

As in Gropa ????
jo-briggs
Absolutely; still alive and well and living near Hastings. Still building interesting cars, still talking to him after 43 years.

Via the site mentioned in this thread OT - huge collection of car company logos. I found the following logos from the ISO car company.

Is there please someone who can identify which logo should have been on my ISO Marlboro front wing nose cone?

If anyone else has access to Kettlewell’s Motor Racing Directory, the Team Ensign logo is shown on page 289. There are also entries for Lyncar, Merzario and Rebaque (pp 30, 305, 306), but no logos included for this particular trio.

The nosecone looks like it may have come from the presentation car !The original FX3 nose.
In the races the two FX3 cars used much stubbier and faired wing end(plates), the so-called FX3(B) noses,
with a much more rectangular shaped air intake.

The cowling has completely different lettering than on this pic though

photo is scan from Japanese magazine Car Graphic Jan 73

Here are two pages scanned from the book 'Autorennen' by Adriano Cimarosti.
