What I'd love, since Ferrari seem not good enough at present, is for Mark to win the drivers title, and McLaren to win the constructors title, finally since 1998. Only Williams fans do I feel more sorry for. So that would be just fine for me. smile.gif

A journo came up with a nice take on this point recently....

Newey is a better designer than the others by more than LH is a better driver than the others... lol.gif

Its a three horse race now, Alonso and the redbulls.
Thought Webber, voted for him in this poll, but now leaning towards Vettel, i think hes going to be tough to beat in the remaining races, and Webber seems to have lost that mid season form and momentum he had. Alonso must be targeting a win at Interlagos and hoping for a repeat of Turkey at one of the other two GPs tongue.gif

Saw Hamilton's odds of 28/1
Not such a bad idea to put a tenner and forget.

Vettel's are not bad either 11/4

Have you ever stopped and considered that there are legitimate concerns as to why I (and many others) do not want Alonso or Vettel to win the WDC ? There are well publicised incidents during the course of this season which have not endeared either driver to many people.

If I can chime in, let me remind you that so were Schumacher's accidents. As it happen, FiA deemed those as "driver's intent" despite that those conclusions were based on what I would consider only partially investigated cases. Technical circumstances behind anomaly conditions on the track are most likely not well understood by majority of us, including stewards, and whilst "intent" is one way out how to evaluate individual situations, in reality complex set of circumstances evaluated with forensic precision might lead us to different directions.

I do recall how Button described once Vettel's RBR car as being unstable, as he had approached it, which leads me to believe, that not all of us clearly understand vehicle dynamics in high speeds. Vettel's (stubborn) position is, that he feels ready to accept responsibility actually only for error in Spa this year. He knows when he screwed up, and when chain of events simply was mostly out of his control.

I am not attempting to launch again old stale discussion with hate boys standing queue to drop me a line with their take on the driver's character, but I am suggesting, whether reasonable people should step back on occasions, and ask fundamental question whether all facts as presented are sufficient, untainted and enough understood to draw conclusion as described in your post.
