Plain and simple.

I want to see how the Autosport board is positioned among drivers.

P.S.: Drivers from Virgin & HRT could not be included due to poll supporting a max. of 20 answers. Sorry for their supporters.

This could only end well.

Why?
midgrid
Kobayashi for me, although Heidfeld would take it if he had a race seat this year.

Why?

Well, as a member of this board and follower of the F1, I would ask, why not? up.gif

Rubinho!

Kimi now gone, I'd say Button ..
Don_Humpador
No multi-vote? Oh well.

Hamilton AND Kobayashi.

Why?

So that you can discredit future polls based on prevailing views, of course.

I didn't put multi-voting as I think one vote per person gives a much accurate view overall. Sorry!

You have gone too far on this assumption ;) I only think that we have another thread like that here...

Hamilton, definitely.

Think we had one of these not too long ago, but never bad to check.

It's not a coincidence what the busiest threads on the forum are.

Is it that time of the month again?
Bouncing Pink Ball
I'd prefer a multi-vote option since I can't give an accurate answer otherwise. BTW, wasn't a similar thread, only that time also asking about team preference and nationality, started here not long ago?

Anyway...Hamilton and Kubica, plus warming to Alguersuari and Kobayashi, my perspective boys for the future. Voted for Robert. The Lewis legion of fans seems pretty strong without me.

I'm affraid I can not take this poll seriously nor vote.

I have no strong feelings for my favorite drivers (Massa, Button - the only British driver I ever liked, don't know why - too bad he is in a Mclaren now, so I don't care as much as I did -, Webber, Kobayashi, Kovalainen, Rubens, Buemi, Liuzzi, Petrov). A good race for Massa or Weber or Buemi, or Kobayashi makes me smile and make my day.

However the drivers I dislike: Hamilton, Alonso, Vettel, well, what can I say, I can't stand them. They have no class, respect or sometimes even human decency (eg. Schumacher). How can you be a fan and admire somebody like that?

Great drivers, of course, maybe the best of the bunch, but I don't like the stupid things they do on track (bullying, dangerous or just plain stupidity), and off (interviews, Kimi has no balls, sense of entitlement, things like that). Great drivers, no question about it, but not a fan. Actually because of their fans I actually enjoy any misfortune that happens to them). tongue.gif

I think mostly I like drivers who feel they have something to prove, the ones who put their head down and just drive. The "adopted" ones, hailed as the best (media, fans), are just spoiled brats as far as I'm concerned. This is a recent phenomenon, I think.

Fittipaldi left everything to start his own team AT HIS PEAK. The youngest ever WDC before Alonso, he could have easilty won more titles in a top car. The guy exudes class in my book. He does his own thing, record books be damned. This is unthinkable today. Drivers act like title collectors, see Alonso, if he were more interested in building a reputation like Villeneuve (Alonso is one of the few I think could instantly adapt and drive a car with no front wings in the rain like mad), he should be AGAINST team orders to benefit him. He should be the one to disobey team orders, not the other guy.

However, he wants to collect wins, titles, etc. exactly the same reason why Hamilton lies to get a 3rd place from glock. Because of him a long time employee was fired (Ryan). How can you support a guy like that? This is no different from Schumacher parking the car in Monaco.

Of course, these are just my views, and I respect the guy who is a fan of someone just because he is the best driver.

*Trulli, not that it really matters.

and wow, you support a lot haha

I don't think anybody could admit to liking Adrian ;)

Heh, thanks!

What can I say, a crazy good race from any of them makes my day!

I am a McLaren supporter and always like to see their drivers do good, but i haven't really had a favorite driver ever since Hakkinen retired. Of the current crop i find Kubica most likable, so i voted for him.
Mika Mika
Kimi frown.gif

Jaime Alguersuari, then Adrian Sutil... I am expecting from them a lot in the future...

I want to vote Yamamoto dammit!

On a serious note, I always liked Button.

No vote for me.
I always support whoever is driving the McLarens.
AlanWake
Fernando Alonso. I will support him wherever he goes.

And Lewis Hamilton, I love him as a racer.

At this early stage (96 votes) Sebi outscoring Schumi, finally.

Ferrari_F1_fan_2001

Deppend on the criteria. Vettel and Chandhok make me laugh. I follow Ferrari so all Ferrari drivers are supported regardless of whether I like them or not (I usually warm to them fairly quickly). I like to watch Vettel during quali. I love watching Hamilton and Alonso for racing. But I have a soft spot for Senna. He is rather good looking and has a very sexy voice. blush.gif

So as 2 are not on the list, also I will not discriminate amongst the Ferrari drivers, so it's between Hamilton and Vettel. I appreciate different aspects of their driving, so it is down to personality.

Vettel.

However I don't dislike any driver whatsoever. They may drive for Ferrari 1 day.
Sammyosammy
Voted Kobayashi, his name rhymes wave.gif

I support McLaren, not drivers.

Well, I can't really vote because none of the mentioned drivers is my favourite, therefore I voted on one of the Williams drivers due to my allegiance to that team.

I feel this way, but replace Mika with Kimi (though I'm a big fan of Mika too).
beute
Kimi was my favorite, and mika before him.

Now that he's gone I do the same I did when mika was gone.

I look out for the most promissing and entertaining Rookie.
(not including the virgin/lotus/hrt) cars

kobayashi is on the top atm, agressive, good at overtaking (if the car allows it, since you know, it's not a top5 car like the toyota last year)
It also seems like he shares one bad with with kimi.... bad luck....
well at least at the beginning of the season, where he had 4 dnf's in 5 races.

Then there is Petrov, had some good and some bad moments but often ruined his races/qualies with driver errors.
But if he gets it together, he is fast and entertaining.

Apparently hulkenberg suffers the Heidfeld syndrom, looks like he is non existent to me.

Kobayashi drives the slowest and most unreliable car of the three, yet he has as much points as Petrov, who has by far the best car of the 3. (like I said, petrov would've more points if it wasnt for his inconsistency)

Of the championship contenders I mostly support Vettel, dunno, dont understand the hate for him, people act as if they would act different if the same things happened to them.
He seems to be honest in german interviews, often just sad after something went wrong, unlike schumacher who always is furious as if someone else besides him done a shitty job.
He and webber are the only drivers that wernt involved in a "XXXgate".

Ok, buttongate wasnt so dramatic and important, but still, he is the slowest driver of them all (I dont count massa here :>), he's extremely lucky and often gains massive points by good tactics... but his qualifying performence is most often bad and his speed is far away from hamilton.at least he is way more likable than alonso and hamilton.
jeze
Fernando kiss.gif But I like any driver who's at Ferrari, and I'd voted for Felipe last year.
noikeee
From the current bunch I am a fan of the Kube, then Webber. It's not quite the same yet as it was being a Raikkonen fan for the last few years, but it'll be once the Kube starts winning and flame wars about him appear all over the forums. wink.gif
BlackCat
Kimi was over a long time the easiest driver to understand for me - his motivation and also as a person. Like old times: you live only while racing, all the rest is just waiting.

From the current crop, there are some i like:
Hamilton, Webber, Kubica, Kobayashi, Petrov, Trulli, Kovalainen, Glock

There are some that leave me (yet or still) quite indifferent:
Button, Rosberg, Sutil, Liuzzi, Hülkenberg, Buemi, de la Rosa, Alguersuari, di Grassi, HRT boys - whatever their names were.

And then there are two germans, two brazilians and a spaniard whose arrogance and/or weepyness - sometimes funnily combined - i cannot stand.

Brandz07
the idea of supporting hamilton and alonso makes my mind flip haha

To me Mark Webber exemplifies sportsmanship. Recovering from a pretty bad injury and being outperformed by a near-rookie teammate, through sheer determination he found that little extra that has made him the championship leader now. I consider him to be a worthy champion, should he win the title this year.
