I just noticed some of Ray's cars are for sale on my105.com and i am wanting to know if he is still ok? My father used to crew for him in the March and Rennmax cars in the late seventies to early eighties. I find it remarkable that he is selling the Rennmax after so many years. Thanks.

I'm sure that Paul Hamilton, who is in reasonably frequent touch with Ray, will respond before too long...

You possibly know that Ray had a stroke two or three (or is it four?) years ago. All I've heard since then that he's recovered better than expected. But I'm not in regular touch.

As long as he keeps the Nota....

I saw the adds too. The Rennmax, march 77b, and both RT4 Ralts. I too hope his health is ok.

Ray, yes i did hear he had the stroke, but i have seen him around the pits at times since then. I just hope he is ok. Top bloke.

Ray sold at least part of his Gosford business recently and had a major task cleaning out one of the large sheds, finding stuff stored there decades ago( the original clamshell guards off the Nota he built 45 years ago were mentioned...). With the stroke Ray's racing which he had begun at 17 on the speedway stopped, and for several reasons so did that of Dean and Ty. Ray and Carmel were guests of honour at Eastern Creek several months ago. I havent spoken to either Ray or Carmel since before then, but there had been suggestions of "take Carmel and the caravan around Australia". They are both terrific people, and whatever they do I am just one of many who wish them well
