I like speedway and tried to start a similar thread last year, unfortunately I got only four replies down.gif

Anyway, even though I really dislike him, Sayfutdinov will walk this season.
D.M.N.
Will be hoping Harris does well this year. up.gif Speedway is a really good sport to watch.... pitty is doesn't have more followers. frown.gif

Blimey... that's one hell of a weekend: Britain F1, Britain Speedway and the footy World Cup final!

I agree with you, with some promotion and global spread it could rival MotoGP and WSBK in terms of popularity. I'd love to have a double-header in Australia and New Zealand, given those countries's heritage in the sport.

I've heard that Mark Webber knows personally Jason Crump.

He's a crazed hothead, I love it- agree Emil will take it.
pUs
Cool, a SGP thread. I've actually began to really like this series, I've followed it quite closely for the last couple of years. I don't think Sayfudinov will just "walk" it though, he was way too inconsistent last year. I think Nicki will be his toughest opponent..

Also , some very interesting piece of trivia - Magnus Zetterström lives in the same small town as me up.gif
bourbon
eheh, I find it hard to like Pedersen, but I do think he'll put up a battle. Personally I didn't mean take it as in without any trouble. Trouble follows Emil - his fight with Scott is still in my top 10 VTWs, lol.
THE "driverider"
I would get an eye on Jaroslaw Hampel he rode for my home team the Ipswich Witches and he is certianly a talented rider if I betted on motorsport I would put some money on him to at least get a win.
Krispy
If Gollob gets his act together then I can see him finally taking the gold, if not then Emil.

Well that would have to be a perfect day for that to happen, but stranger things have actually happened, so never say die!
xrepe
I think that Emil could be a threat to the two Jason and Nicki.
I hope that Jonsson betters his game up, so that he could finally fight for the championship.
Gollob is the best rider never won the championship i'd love if he could be a bit more consistent...

I also can't wait for Croatian GP where Jurica will try to finish on the top... as I know him and made an interview with him last year...

He seems to be quite a nice guy...

To be fair Sayfutdinov suprised many, but I would not say Hampel is in the same class.

Also, don't forget Fredrik Lindgren, who has finally switched from his obsolete equipment he persisted with, and will be on the same machinery as the others.

Being Danish, I have to hope for Nicki, but I do agree that he isn't 'likeable'.

Agreed. When Pedersen was riding for Falubaz Zielona Gora a couple od years ago, many fans disliked him because they thought he's not giving his best when competing in non-Grand Prix events.

Not that many days left now! up.gif clap.gif

GO JASON CRUMP!!!

Good guy, ridden dirt bikes a few times with him (crazy too, falls off a lot!).
Makarias
Crump will take the title again unless Nicki Pedersen has a good year and gets along with the referees (yeah right!).
I'll be rooting for the Swedes and Hancock as usual I guess. It woulda been nice to see Antonio Lindbäck doing a full season, his wild card entries last year went well I'd say. Sayfutdinov is excellent to watch on his good days!
Hezz
Seems like a last chance for my man Tomasz this year; like every year wink.gif
O man, it would be so sweet.
3 polish GP's in this year calendar should help him and Jarek too.
I have good feelings clap.gif

Crumpie and Nicki will be strong as always.
Emil looks like a future champion but he will have to wait at least one season more me think.
Can't wait!

I have followed SGP only occasionally due to a very simple reason: where can I watch it on TV? Any live broadcasts? Or should I try and find some streams on the net?

Yeah that was pretty wicked. First reports are an upper arm break which would possibly see him out 5-6 weeks. Hopefully the prognosis improves, he's my favorite! Fuerza Emil!!!!

Hampel wins, Gollob second in Copenhagen. A great day for Polish fans... clap.gif

Hampel also took the lead in overall standings today after 4th GP smile.gif

This time it's easy to pick a winner.
Tomek is a devil on that track smoking.gif

Sadly not much money to win if You bet on Poles.

Oh, and this track brings good racing . Has many racing lines, so be prepared for decent speedway clap.gif
Shame I can't be there.

T. Gollob wins, R. Holta 2nd, J. Hampel 3rd, J. Crump 4th.

Mark Webber will be definitely dissapointed with his fellow's result.

But hey! Three Poles on the podium today clap.gif

I told You smoking.gif

Tomasz- seven races, seven wins clap.gif

Today British GP in Cardiff. My favourities: Jason Crump, Tomasz Gollob, Nicki Pedersen, Chris Harris and maybe Jaro Hampel
barteks
Unfortunately Sayfutdinov won't take part in any GP this season because of his yesterday's accident with Gollob.

Polish international Rune Holta says he has the experience to realise his World Championship medal dream after winning the FIM Scandinavian Speedway Grand Prix in Malilla, Sweden, on Saturday.

The Norwegian-born racer tore away from the tapes in the final to defeat world champion Jason Crump, new SGP series leader Tomasz Gollob and Swedish hero Freddie Lindgren.
