Now that Carl is on probation as of Bristol all of the drivers he's had beefs with, and there are many, can take free shots at him. Here's hoping.

Given Nascar's definition of "probation", Edwards could wreck half the field and he'd still be allowed to race the following week. Don't expect any free shots on Edwards.

Gotta loves the newbies. Who would want to take a shot at Edwards, other than Keselowski? NASCAR drivers don't wreck each other just because they can, few people want to start wars for no reason. Carl can always retaliate a couple of races later anyway, and even if he retaliates immediately, he'll just get his probation extended for another couple of races.

Speaking of newbies, you should watch a little NASCAR once in a while, you'd know who Carl has had beefs with.

And yet you still know nothing about it, it seems. Kind of a slow learner, aren't you? Just because some drivers dislike Edwards doesn't mean that they're itching to start an on-track war with him.

Juantoya on Crashalotstki
“I think he’ll learn. He’s going to say he’s going to race the same way, but I’m sure he won’t,” said Juan Pablo Montoya. “And if he does, somebody else will wreck him again. Race hard because you want to show you can get the job done. But you’ve got to learn to respect everybody.”Last fall Juan was running third with around 20 laps to go at Bristol when he ran in problems.. was it a cut tire or engine failure..? I can\'t recall..

Logano is the example of the other side of equation when it comes to wrecking other people. He adopted the posture of a meek guy who always smiles and never does anything to ruffle other people's feathers, and he gets treated as a bitch in return. It's time he learns a lesson or two from Brad Keselowski.

Same car owner. Brad has a thick skull but he knows what side of the bread HIS butter is on.
I wasn't even thinking they're both on the same team until the announcer said something about Dodge's win drought, and now Dodge is 1-2. I was like 'OOOOOOOH!'

I wouldn't be surprised if Logano taps Harvick in the race tomorrow.
I must admit, Harvick did it right...not too early in the race where Logano could come back out. At the end where Logano can't get back at him.
Maybe now that the gloves are off Harvick will become like Brad Crashalotski Sr.
The thing is, other drivers can hurt Harvick BAD in the other series cos he is a car owner.

Here is another reason why Keselowski is unlikely to do anything to Edwards or anyone else: he's barely in the top 35. You don't want to fall out of top 35 no matter what.

Anyone see the Legends race after the NNS? There was vicious wreck when Larry Pearson spun out and Charlie Glotzbach T-boned him on the driver's side going full speed. When they came to a stop, I thought Pearson was dead. It was that bad. The door caved in at least a foot. The guys on pit road ran up to the car but immediately turned away and frantically waved for the safety crews to get there as fast as possible. Glotzbach's car looked pretty bad too. He basically had no front end left and it caught fire but was put out. Glotzbach was pulled out and walked away wearing an oxygen mask and it looked like he had a broken arm. They later said he was KO'd but I can't believe they would let him walk around after being knocked out. As for Pearson, they had to cut him out. He was also knocked out but thankfully, they said he came to and was alert. Only thing I've seen was he was transported immediately to a hospital. Anyone seen any updates on his condition?

No specifics, but neither have "life-threatening" injuries according to SpeedTV. Both were knocked unconscious when the marshals arrived, but have since regained consciousness.
EDIT: I don't care if they didn't have them in the 60's and 70's, why the **** were they not wearing HANS helmets? Some of the drivers were wearing open-faced helmets for ****'s sake.

I noticed and thought the same thing. I know drivers are stubborn bunch, especially as they age, but that should be unacceptable. I know it wasn't a Nascar sanctioned race but every series should be running modern safety equipment.
And some good news, just read on ESPN that both guys seem ok. Pearson suffered several broken bones and will need surgery on his ankle but has no life threatening injuries. Thank God. Both men were very lucky.

Worth bearing in mind the % chance as well though. Although looking at the forecast on the link from the Nascar site (
