If Lewis didn't reach the height of Alonso shoes that its a pretty poor comment on Alonso abilitys that he was unable to beat him.

It's funny isn't it, as I recall Hamilton beat Alonso in the same machinery, in his rookie year and every season since.

Nope none at all as far as I remember, but I'm sure you can find something to back that up.

of course I can...the best proof ever

alonso in a personal interview by lobato was asked "who's the person that harmed you the most since your arrival in f1?"
the answer was "the english press"

you can listen to it in several videos on youtube, spanish though...

And was that in reference to his replacing Button or to his time at Mac? I don't remember anyone accusing Alonso of anything when he replaced Button, the only comments that were made were in regards to Flavio whose decision it was and who doesnt always treat drivers with much respect. Just ask Trulli.

I can't say I've ever noticed the English press give Alonso a hard time (you're lucky if they mention F1 at all). If they have then he must have had a hell of an easy ride compared to the likes of Senna and Schumacher.

As for the attitude of the Spanish press towards Hamilton..... that would make some of the Alonso fanboys here appear sane and level headed.

And finally, what the f*ck have the English press got to do with Lewis Hamilton?

I think that Kimi's old mechanics are now with Kov because they were the #1 team in 2006 so they would've went to Fred in 2007 and consequently to Kov in 2008 & 2009. Lewis would've inherited Montoya, de la Rosa's mechanics then. Unless they reshuffled them when they changed both drivers for 2007.

Anyway if Kimi wants to take any of Lewis' mechanics he can go $%^ himself.

what does "El Paquito Chocolatero de la F1" mean?

I was a bit suspicious as well (can't think why lol.gif ) but the text for the youtube vid says "Un pequeño homenaje a papá Hamilton por su contribución al circo de la F1... For the non Spanish, I want to remember that "Chocolatero" is a very worthy profession and it is not in relation to the skin´s color. Paquito el Chocolatero was a real person named Francisco Pérez Molina. He was born in Spain in 1905 and he enjoyed to go out on a spree. His brother-in-law Gustavo Pacual Falcó composed a musical piece in his honor titled "Paquito el Chocolatero".

So a homage to Anthony for his contribution to the F1 circus, not as bad as the poster here intended, probably tongue.gif

it's just a name used as a joke, basically the translation would be The Francis the "chocolatemaker" of F1. it's the title of a very funny but cheesy song called "Francis the "chocolatemaker"" normally used in Spain for party endings or wedding ceremony moments of fooling-around, once all the guests are extremely drunk and can't be bother to have a ridiculous shake on the dance floor stoned.gif , nothing serious indeed

According to spanish "Sport" magazine Hamilton will leave McLaren if they hire Räikkönen. Apparently Kimi is about to sign after Abu Dhabi but Hamilton doesn't want to share the recognition he gets as McLaren's #1 driver unlike in 2007.

I'd like to remark that the video is simply a joke, but there's no positive (neither negative seriously speaking) homage in the video as you might think, basically the author plays with the words and relate the daddy with circus and clowns...and what a better song to blend this up than "paquito el chocolatero" a very funny but stupid song drunk.gif

Total rubbish, and you know it 'for sure'. wink.gif

The thing is, Lewis Hamilton burst on the F1 scene like an angry firecracker (analogy unashamedly stolen from the first Mini Cooper advert) and put a lot of peoples noses out of joint. That a rookie should be so fast out of the box was unheard of.

If this quote is genuine, prove be it and I will stand corrected.

I however seriously doubt it and your intent is to lie in order to further your agenda. You say here the quote is attributable to Anthony Hamilton then later on say it is the Hamilton family.

C'mon moderators, this is too far now. Lying and slandering people should result in a ban.

Can´t see a move to Brawn personally. He would have to face up to the world champion, who also happens to be an Englishman, and that would totally sink him if JB got the better of him, which is very likely.
On a psychological level, I think Jenson would be more able to deal with Lewis, than the other way around.
No, He´ll stay on at Mac, even if Kimi joins them. He might not like it, but he simply has no other realistic option.

Hamilton would absolutely destroy Button in the same car. We've see what a poor leader JB is. Hamilton has the ability to rally the team around him.

Its comical that the spanish media are hell-bent on stiring up trouble at McLaren even before Kimi has even signed.

One thing is for certain. The Alonso-Ferrari story will end in tears long long before the Hamilton-McLaren one ever does.

Anyone can lead a championship in a dominant car. It's how you perform and behave in a bad car is what makes you stand out. Have you heard how he cries on the radio when his car isn't good. "oh god what happened to this car, it was so good" etc.

So who cares anyway if he did? We have a quote from Martin Whitmarsh saying that Lewis is scared of nobody (more than one, in fact, if you have been following the BBC1 red button fora) and another from Anthony saying that he wants to get a #2 be-atch for his boy to beat up on.

How does this reflect badly on Lewis?

It's a managers job to get the best arrangement for his client and in this respect AH is doing no more or less than Willi Weber, Flavio Briatore, and Julian Jakobi would for their respective clients. It's up to the team to play it as they see fit.

Lies or not lies, if you look at it in those terms it's not a big deal.
