on a positive note, renault was actually the only team to test a very agressive 3channel diff. when they tested young talents earlier this year. That could be an advantage

A more saturated yellow would be better. It could have been tiger like. Now it's bumblebee.

I'm pessimistic hoping to be happily surprised with the Renault livery... they had decent colors to work with last year and came up with the worse abomination imaginable (car shape included)..
Even the 30th anniversary livery looks too busy and garish to my taste, and you really have to work hard to mess that up considering the classy stuff it was inspired from..
I'm afraid the people in charge over there simply don't get it.. they're trying too hard at Renault.. lol

well, photoshop, new layer on the previous B&W, blending options - there you choose colour from the list and paint the layer yellow. That would be the most primitive and simple way i can think of now.

Easy to do in Photoshop. Put yellow on another layer. Assign layer to multiply.
f1rules
Jan 26 2010, 22:16
thanks
but multiply doesnt do it. about the other solution, if you paint a layer above in a color you need change opacity, or blending options and that dont work
but thanks both
getting back on topic, i like the color of the renault, if thats really their new color scheme
EDIT
ok i found out, copy bw layer, image > adjustments > photofilter > color > choose yellow > Density 100 > say no to preserve luminosity and then you get that effect

I think that almost a page of discussions about a 89px × 68px image from over a month ago, that is used somewhere on the web page of RenaultF1 indicates that the paranoia level of this silly season is now beyond the normal clinical level for a healthy person

Speedweek:
- Kubica doesn't want Heidfeld as a teammate so he probably will be third driver at Mercedes.
- Kubica told in a talk with Sebastian Buemi that the most likely candidate now is Villeneuve.
- Eric Boullier denied rumours that Vitaly Petrov would bring 15 million euros to the team.

I believe Boullier said that Petrov's money was not the primary reason way they were considering him. At least, that's the way the GP Update article is pitching it.

I wouldn't say that's a certainty:
1) It's Kubica telling Buemi telling someone else - it's not exactly straight from the horse's mouth
2) Galko got the thing about Petrov wrong; I don't know if this was his mistake or a mistake of the article he was quoting
3) Boullier never mentioned Villeneuve
4) Petrov's people say they're still talking

I secretly hope it will be Petrov. I think he could be quick... he could hold his own against Hulkenberg at his best last year. I don't buy this pay-driver reasons for his selection. It's rubbish, he is a GP2 front-runner. Are di Grassi and Hulkenberg pay drivers? I think not.
