Talking with Chris Sharples, Chairman of HSCC at the NEC last Friday about the success of the F5000 40th anniversary celebration at the Oulton Park Gold Cup meeting this last August Bank Holiday, he remarked that it is a shame that the BRDC do not take a lead and organise similar events to mark eras and achievements.
