Jaime being interviewed. I think he's speaking Italian -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TwhJuYP9y8He speaks fluent Italian, much better than my written English.
He recalls the time when he was a kart driver and he ran continuously, even with the snow, to have optimal physical preparation.
Then he speaks of the difficulties it has had in F1 last year.
In qualifying he managed to be fast enough because of the situations encountered had already experienced in the minor categories.
The biggest problem was the race, too long for his physical abilities and for his little experience; each track was new, every situation was new, each strategy was new. He was not accustomed to using a car with 90 kg of fuel, or just 20 kilograms, having to make a very quick stint. He felt very much difference, it was like to drive two different cars. This year things are much better with the fuel load equal for everyone. He is dominating the car and not vice versa.
Jaime then makes a comparison between its growth and growth of Vettel. When you arrive in F1 you can choose two paths: to go slow and see how you can improve, or go faster and risking a crash. He says that when you get to a point you know the car 100%, you lose respect for the car and make a crash.
Finally, he recalled the crash in Suzuka. A few laps from the checkered flag, he had new tires and low fuel and was pushing very hard but he was very tired, especially with regard to the neck, and lost the car to 300 kph.
