Heh,maybe it's the livery but it looks somewhat ordinary to me. Only first impressions, mind you-I'm sure it's a rocketship on track.
Now for the all-important shots of the diffuser once testing begins...
I'm not a big fan of this livery...
but the cars looks "fast" lol..

Indeed, but when you're basing it on a quick car, I suppose that's understandable.

lol more like McLaren is a cheap copy of RB5
Seems people forget Newey was the first designer to introduce the extended engine cover concept during recent times.
Renault & Ferrari followed & now McLaren have but apparently they are the innovators.

I recall that McLaren was the last of the F1 cars to incorporate covers onto its wheel/tyres. Perhaps and advantage for the ex-McLaren Newey supervised RBR6.
The front wing's apparent high development would be much involved around the narrower tyres and the lack of wheel covers too.
Of course appearances don't mean anything. We'll have to wait until not only the first qualifying, but until the first race itself to learn much about the car IMO.

[Newey] is good but not a god...
My thoughts, too. Comparing Adrian Newey's designs to Rory Byrne's proves that they are very close matched in WDC and WCC, Grand Prix wins, points et cetera. I've got a list of all those stats for both Newey- and Byrne-designed F1 cars, from the early 80s to the mid 00s, but I haven't got it with me. If anyone's interested, I could look it up later.

All that hype and the result is 'meh'
Tidy livery, however STILL not similar to other red bull liveries (Raikkonen, Ekstrom, Vickers)
Now, provided they take Renault 1.5s faster than the R29 and raise them 2s faster than the RB5, then the Red Bull team should be victorious. After all this is what counts: that the car is more improved than any other team, with RBR starting from the previously class-leading RB5 and therefore primed to take crushing victories.

Feb 10 2010, 08:04
Points to note:
Semi-prominent Renault branding on the nose, engine cover and driver overalls

You wouldn't get that with a Ferrari deal - Ferrari only interested in winning it for themselves

. Well done to the French supplier

Sidepods are quite compact and seem more undercut then before below the intake. Not significantly more aggressive than those on the lowly Virgin Racing car though.

Exellent looking racecar, looks fast and beautiful.
Take note Mclaren, thats how you build a great looking car.

Are you suggesting that the fastest team at the end of last season throw their design away an come up with something completely new for absolutely no reason?
There's a good reason why everyone else is copying Red Bull and they've stayed "static".
