They've mounted the camera's on a separate wing underneath the nose! Very clever but is it legal?

we'll see if that's a good thing or not

It's alled a shark fin, and Red Bull have been doing that for years. In fact, McLaren are probably the only team that haven't use one since they were invented by Adrian Newey some time around 2007 or 2008.

Thank you, oh wise one. I was holding off calling it a shark fin as from this angle you can't see the actual shape of the section that joins to the rear wing of the car. It may be something different...(though probably not)

It looks that they changed it to Brawn-style, the steering rod is in the lower suspension arm.

is it just ,me are do all the cars seem to have really long noses this year?
is it because of the new front tyres, or the bigger fuel tanks or something?

thank christ for that, it was always my contention that the extra suspension geometry was the root of all their "aero miscalculations, no historical data to compare, wrong numbers, get the flo-viz out and try figure out what exactly's going on here" malarky. good riddance.
That's a bit amateurish, lauch is 1 hour away and the presspack already available.

What are they going to do, set Nicole Shirtsinger on you? Can they even still do that?
QUOTE
The dorsal fin that attaches the top body to the rear wing is very striking – what does it do?
Tim Goss: “The principal knock-on effect of the larger fuel tank was the repositioning of some of the car’s internals. One of the outcomes of that was a decision to move some of the car’s cooling to sit centrally at the rear of the car.
“The dorsal fin is partly to accommodate the additional cooling duct and partly a logical development of the high-downforce wing we ran last year at races like Monaco, which feeds air more efficiently to the rear wing upper element. They’re both quite simple solutions, but they’re actually very neat.”
