Hey Guys, this is my first post.
What a great forums and there is so much info to read thru.

Here is why I am posting.

An old guy at work sent me some pictures that he took as a 19yo back in 1951.
Yep he is still working full time and as sharp as he ever was.

The race he remembers was the F2 race at Pau in 1951.
He cant remember but he thinks the race was in July which would make sense as it is sunny and people are wearing those sort of clothes.
He only took 4 photos and here they are in little peices as I dont want to post the whole picture.

What I want to know is what are the cars and drivers names and if possible how they finished the race.
I have had a look around and all I can find is info on the F1's not the F2's.

I also can not seem to find ANY photos from this race. Not in Black and White or Colour.
Do you guys think these photos are historically important and if so who should/could I send them too???

Anyways thanks in advance.

Cheers

This is not a F2 race, it s the race from F1 Grand Prix de Pau 1954
The blue one are from Manzon (24) and Rosier (16)
10 Farina, 12 Gonzales and 14 Trintignant

Thanks for the quick reply guys.

I remember him saying that they were all Ferrari's but when I searched the 1951 race it came up with a Talbot-Lago and a Maserati 4CLT.

I had a look at the Entry list for the 1954 race and the number to cars seem to match up way better.

I guess after nearly 60 years his memory isn't as good as I though it was and trusted his 1951 reference way too much.

Thanks again for the replys but I still cant find any pics from that race.

Cheers

Jean Behra scored a fine victory for Gordini that day!.
