The residue from their depression last season. Ever since the fanboys ran AFCA off the forum, the Ferrari thread is bereft of information and facts are scarce. cry.gif

Yep sadly this is the truth, i also aren't as active in this thread anymore since that happened.

Domenicali is covering in: "We have worked hard during the past months and we will have to keep doing it during the season, which will be long, with 19 races. We need to avoid getting anxious from the first race if things don't work well from the start."

It's obvious that they don't expect much from the car in the first races... ohwell.gif

Ferrari wasted half of last season to get a head start; I really don't understand how they can make another dud. ohwell.gif

Scuttlebutt on the street is that over the course of the winter Ferrari has been putting in a lot of ‘reliability' requests, largely surrounding valves what with fuel consumption due to be a bigger factor now refuelling is banned.

Is it me or Ferrari lost "Alice" as a sponsor?!

It does not appear (sidepods/side plates of the front wing) on the new Santander livery.

this has been discussed to death. it was not 'idiots' that pissed him off, it was him posting tons copyrighted material. you cant just post someone's newspaper article and scan it to the website.

he was great source no doubt but once again it was copyrighted material that forced him leave.

I think so, because when Ferrari site was working (it isn't right now, dunno why wink.gif), Alice wasn't mentioned on Sponsors list.

Very interesting, but FIA shouldn't allow any changes - c'mon, our engine is almost bulletproof. After problems with V8 at the very beggining, engines failed only AFAIR at Suzuka 2006, then thrice in Australia 2008 (but it was very hot and Ferrari asked FIA after race to change some parts to improve reliability) and in Hungary and Valencia, but that was caused by batch of faulty parts. I don't know why FIA should listen to these requests, because since 1,5 year, there wasn't any problem in that aspect ohwell.gif.

Well if there are 2 or 3 teams with clearly better cars, he won't be able to do big miracles... podiums or even a few wins maybe, with some luck, but that's not what he's aiming for...
I guess if the car is not among the two fastest, there's no hope of the championship, remember that the drivers sitting in the rival cars are not exactly bad either....
f1rules
i just cant believe Ferrari screws up this year, they are to good and with all that development time. On the other hand if they do, i think its safe to say they have a management problem, because then clearly the wrong people are in the wrong positions.

i would really be surprised if ferrari fail to deliver this season

Seriously, were is afca, anyone knows. About his knowledge. He had lots of good information, but it was NOT insider, he read all the italian, german and english media. And many times he published it as his own knowledge. But i could live with that because he delivered so much information. And it is a loss he is not here any more.

I think it's mightily early to start too much talk about how good or not Ferrari's 2010 car is going to be. I remember in 2004 a lot of talk about Ferrari finally tripping up. Then there was *that* Imola test.

Then again there are years like last year where it looked pretty good. Then the Brawn rocked up.

Basically until the final tests we don't really know what's what. So I look forward to next week with eager anticipating.

Frankly I hope Ferrari produce an utter rocketship, it will make my life a bit easier :-)
shonguiz
Really ? not Worried about the Barron's chances in that case ? biggrin.gif I personnaly feel that the 2005-2008 cycle is all over again, so the 2010 car will be as good as the 2006 one, good car but not a rocket.

We Mclaren fans suffered big time pre-season testing last year. Now that was an ordeal. eek.gif The car was a complete dogs breakfast. Hamilton managed to salvage some pride in Melbourne, then came lie-gate. drunk.gif If Ferrari produce a dog, there's always 2011. lol.gif You just want to hope the rumours aren't true.

Last year it looked pretty good? First Bahrain tests showed times similar to Toyota and BMW where tests in Bahrain previous year (2008) times were about one second better than Toyota with famous Trulli words: "Ferrari already won it" (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/20/trulli-predicts-ferrari-will-win-2008-f1-title/).

The Baron almost certainly would have no chances in such a case smile.gif That doesn't bother me so much to be honest. Michael's got nothing to prove. It would make my life easier if he had no hope in hell of the title and could just go around wiping the floor with Rosberg, Vettel and Hamilton while the Ferrari drivers ran and hid fighting for the WDC between themselves.

That's my ideal scenario tbh.

Worst scenario is Mercedes v Ferrari in a duel to the death. That could get very very very ugly. And that's just in the forums smile.gif

Never seen such a downbeat run up to a Ferrari launch, maybe it's for the best after last year. BTW in the official presser it says 'media from all over the world will attend' so I don't think that those previous rumours are true.

Don't expect too much from the launch car. Ferrari is said to launch it with the 2009 F60 front and rear wing.
