I doubt the car livery is even the real deal. The actual one will be launched on the 28th of this month. It may be similar but less 'quickly stuck together'. They just jumbled something on for Santander so when Alonso made his first outing in a Ferrari they'd be visible.

Looks like they could easily change the wings to black without losing sponsor visibility, IMHO.
They should be red

Remeber the 2010 car is going to look very different to the F60 in terms of design. Yes this livery looks bad on the F60, but you never know, it could spring a surprise on the new car.

What's up with all this testing Ferrari is doing? What king of tests are this? And how come other teams don't do that?
Could someone explain that to me, please?!

I think it is for marketing purposes.
Probably lots and lots and lots of driving very slowly behind pick up truck with a cameraman on the back, and driving slowly through corners so the snapper can get the best pic.
And shooting a TV ad takes
ages to get all the right angles. Very stop and start.
I think the F1 rules allow for this kind of marketing shoot.
Williams did one in Bahrain in December.

Anti-Ferrari answer: because they are Ferrari and they have the special right to do many things that the others can't
Neutral answer: it's allowed to test the old cars, Ferrari have their own test track so they can use it whenever they want. Now they have an excuse as well, Massa's injury - they have to see whether he's really fit, they have to give him some mileage in the car to get back to his normal self, etc.

As a diehard Ferrari fanatic i do not care what the cr looks like as long as it is fast, reliable and wins races.
The colour scheme has not been right since television coverage forced Ferrari to bin the original 'blood' red of the 1950's

It's not testing. All teams are allowed to do promotional runs and filming, etc. There are certain rules about how it can be done etc. Maybe someone can fill us in exactly what these parameters are.

I was going to post the same thing....looks like Ferrari testing something there. If we see the same barge board and mirrors in the new car then this is illegal. Needless to say they would get away with it. I hope Williams (the only team with guts against the Ferrari Bias) says something.

And Alonso's blue and yellow helmet looks perfect!
It's not really testing, I mean they would be using presentational tyres for starters which are something like 9s per lap slower than the real McCoy.

I'd guess that's the "travelling steering wheel" the cars have fitted during transit.
With the real thing worth 50 grand and able to be stolen very easily I believe they're stored separately.

Well they are not allowed to run over 100kph, so maybe that car has just KERS in it..

Actually, it has to be just for pushing the car in the pits, looks bigger so it would be easier to turn.

Really not impressed with the new livery, waayy to much Santander, alot of white as well, its back to the Vodafone days! The past few years livery have looked really good in the full red. Philip Morris are also really scaling back, i highly doubt they will renew the sponsorship.

All the grease, grit and dirt will be much more exposed on white wings.
i think this livery would work well on the pre-09 cars but it just looks odd on the current car with such a wide front wing and a narrow/tall rear wing
If this is the final version of the livery, it does seem a bit daft to let it be seen the week before the car is officially unveiled. Kind of takes away from the anticipation of the event a little. I really hope they reduce the white areas. To me, white is just the absence of colour.

I hope you're right. LDM has said in the past that sponsors don't control how the Ferrari livery looks in terms of logos etc, and I hope he meant that. Red and black livery I could live with, but red and white is just not a visually pleasing combination. Hopefully it will look different/better when they pull the covers off the car next week.

This livery is the final 2010 livery.
Contrary to what some suggest, Ferrari will certainly not go about doing an interim design to be used just for an ad.
Here is a comparaison between the new livery (up) and the 2009 livery (bottom).
